Finding Meaning in the Ordinary
On the road to San Antonio, after a day filled with adventure—soaring across the canopy on a zipline and exploring over five kilometers of underground caves with the girls from “Teens With Meaning Camp”—we stumbled upon a simple roadside sign that took my breath away.
It read:
“Not a
single act of love is ever wasted.”
I don’t know who put it there or why, but its timing was perfect. It echoed something I deeply believe: Every loving gesture matters—especially the unseen ones.
We often think of love as something grand, something dramatic. But most love isn’t loud. It doesn’t get applause or likes or public recognition. It happens in the quiet. In the routine. In the little things.
Like making a bed
with care.
Preparing dinner with someone’s favorite dish in mind.
Keeping the house in order—not for show, but because it brings peace.
Sending an email to a friend, even when your day is already overflowing.
Smiling at the cashier at the grocery store.
Answering a phone call when you’re already late.
Whispering a prayer, naming your loved ones one by one.
Taking time to move your body with purpose.
Hosting a dinner—even if the salmon didn’t turn out quite right.
Listening—really listening—to your husband, your kids, their stories.
These acts might seem small, even invisible. But when they are done with love, one day after another, they’re never lost. They are seen. They are felt. And they become eternal.
Fashion teaches us that the right details make all the difference in an outfit. Life is no different. When we put our heart into the details of our day, we transform the ordinary into something sacred. Something beautiful.
Because love—real love—never disappears. It doesn’t vanish into the air like time does. It lingers. It blesses. It multiplies.
And so, every day, in everything I do, I try to put my heart into it. Not perfectly, not always gracefully, but intentionally. Because I know now, more than ever, that: Not a single act of love goes unnoticed… So let us live with love in the details. In the stitches of our day. In the seams of our story. That’s where true beauty lies.
